Earthworm Studies

The crucial role played by earthworms in the agricultural ecosystem was described by Darwin. The importance of earthworms to the biological, chemical and physical properties of arable land is reflected in the risk assessments required by European legislation.

Earthworm field studies are required if the results of lower tier studies indicate potential long-term risk to earthworms.
Our earthworm study team has extensive experience in conducting appropriate GLP field studies on a range of habitat types including arable fields and grassland.

We conduct earthworm field studies specifically designed to your needs and in compliance with current EU and national legislation and guidelines. All studies are conducted in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice under the close and continuous supervision of our Quality Assurance Unit.
